Really great takeout restaurant, the wonton soup was fantastic as were the beef and broccoli and the egg rolls.

I've ordered the spicy chicken lo mein 3 times now and it's honestly one of the best I've had. Food is ready quickly and is always hot. Definitely give this place a try!

I had a long day that finished with a trip to the laundry mat. I was quite hungry so I decided to give Work and Roll a try. I'm glad I did! This was the best Sesame Chicken I have had in years! And having walked in and placed my order, it was cool to watch my meal being cooked even....no wonder it tastes fresh because it is! I highly recommend this place!

UPDATE! We JUST re-visited this place, and my original assessment (see review below) stands: their food is DELICIOUS!!! Top recs include: their Mapo Tofu, Mongolian Chicken, and "Mixed Vegetables" - which, despite the name, aren't simply "vegetables" but vegetables in a FANTASTIC brown sauce that's to-die-for. HUGE bang/buck restaurant! Here's my review from a year ago: It would be easy to dismiss this GEM of a locally-owned restaurant as "typical strip-mall fast-food Chinese," when driving by. You'd be wrong. The dishes are FANTASTICALLY flavorful, delicious, and prepared fresh. My wife and I used to be regular customers years ago, prior to pandemic. But we moved away for several years, and only recently decided to try it again. We didn't even know if it was the same owners (it was/is). And we were DEEPLY impressed by the quality of the dishes. We got the Mapo Tofu and the Kung Pao Chicken, and both were packed with complex flavors and delicious. The Mapo, in particular, is HIGHLY recommended, as the flavor profile is unique (compared to other restaurants' rendering of Mapo); but know this: if you're not a garlic lover, stay away, but if you ARE, you'll be AMAZED. Portion sizes were generous, too (we're going to be able to get three dinners out of this one order). I can't comment on the negative reviews below, but what I CAN say is OUR experience was A, and that we're going to resume going here regularly whenever we're in town. PS My "atmosphere" rating of "3" simply reflects the fact that it's a standard fast-food interior, rather than a "sit-down fine dining" vibe (ala Charlie Kang's, our other go-to Asian in town).

One of my favorite chinese places in town:-) My boyfriend and I have gone here multiple times and never had a problem with the food or service. It’s really reasonable and I feel like there are some people making reviews with really high standards when it’s just a lil chinese food shop!

Love this place. I do laundry next door and whenever I’m hungry doing that laundry and need to burn some time I come next door and am never disappointed. Last time I had the dragon & Phoenix but today it’s just shrimp fried rice. It’s delicious and there’s a bunch of shrimp in here. Perfection

As far as american chinese food goes I like it, Taste wise definitely makes top 3 of all time for me. Prices overall 10-20% below average. I see a lot of reviews complain about "authentic" and I don't think....most americans would eat authentic chinese food. If you wanted, you can always ask for whatever authentic dish you want and they probably can make it.
